The space between the bars is 2.5 inches, and the gate door is 16 inches wide.

Before installation, please take note that the gate may appear bent and there may be a gap at the handle. However, these concerns will be resolved once the gate is properly installed in your doorway. Make sure to measure your opening before purchasing to ensure a proper fit. The gate frame should always be assembled for stability.

The Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate features a lever handle with a one-touch release safety lock, convenient walk-through design, and is easy to set up with pressure mount. It is suitable for children aged 6-24 months and can also be used for medium to large dogs.

Included in the box is the Regalo Easy Step Baby Gate, instruction manual, a 6-inch extension kit, four pressure mounted spindle rods, and four wall cups with screws. The gate expands to fit openings between 29-34 and 35-38.5 inches wide and stands 30 inches tall. Please ensure to measure your opening before purchase to guarantee the right fit - note that it will not fit openings between 34-35 inches without an additional 4” extension.
